gomez,im not trying to put people off just telling it as it is, we have big enough waves to loop off locally if you know when and where to sail them.southcoast is great on the right day but after a day of crunching loop practise ,the drive home you can do without, lol, gomez hope to see you down garrison on the next southly and you can show us how its done. cheers mate. join baldmarts loop club.

Robert, welcome back to the wonderful world of windsurfing! there's not much wind on the radar yet and it's a bit soon to know how it's gonna go. Come friday morning we'll have a better idea what and where.

I've had some hard catapolts trying to loop, but this was off small chop and apparently they hurt more than looping, and they didn't hurt, just more of a shock shall we say. Spartan you 80's nut, have you been attempting endo's?! I have all the gear, all the idea, but a voice in my head saying don't do it!

I think you are going to put people off the forward loop by your comments.
I did not break any booms when learning and the pain is no more than you would get when you catapult.
If you or anyone else are serious about learning, then dedication is the main thing, secondly give yourself a fighting chance and go somewhere with better waves, you will learn a lot quicker and get better at wave sailing.
Littlestone and dymchurch offer some realy nice waves for learning, also camber if you practise on the inside of the small waves. If you like port tack, the point at canvey is probably the best local spot. Another thing to remember is , if you are having trouble rotating, especially in lighter winds, more you front hand back, this will help to create pull in the front and offer it to the wind more as it takes a long long long time to get to grips with sheeting in with the back band. Good luck.

loops ,first get away from chalkwell, end of the tide at the garrison good waves to launch from on a strong southly.secondly, buy lots of booms becuase your gonna break them all,and most important,be brave and dont try and impress the crowd watching(sheep), only do loops with other people around who can do them already(alex)etc,so they can give you pointers.lastly get your body up to job ,because get the loop wrong and it hurts big time.oyer if your trying them on any EZZY WAVE SAIL, (alot of foreward drought) good luck ,but i do know a good undertaker, lol

Ha, funny Cliff. I sailed when the tide was in and you did the shallow stuff on Monday. Are you becoming a kite surfer or something? Jimbo, maybe it was Cliffs guns that let him down.

here we go again, my wifey reads this sometimes, are you trying to get me put under house arrest?
I have tried some smaller fins on the 107 FSW and you're right, it does make it feel a bit more slippery. The freestyle is also staying now so it's there when the mood strikes.

Speedy good to here your holding on to your FSW, just a thought why dont you buy or file a old fin down to 22cm that will help to get the board to slide.

Not me Del, I still think I caught it from shaking Cliff's hand. CLIFF and STEVE, I'm not selling the FSW107!! I said I was thinking of trading in the 108 Freesytle for a 99 Freestyle. I tried Alex's 99Ltr on the Ray once and liked it.

Don't say that Jimbo, I've just put it in the Ads section. But it's probably oversized for a lightweight like me. Would suite someone 12 stone+ or used to bigger boards. Sunday might surprise us all, 8 degrees, HEATWAVE.
